Who We Are

The First Time Home Buyer Legacy Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to charitable and educational purposes, as defined by section 501(c)(3).

Our mission is to promote equitable access to homeownership by supporting individuals and families who encounter financial barriers when purchasing a primary residence.

Our Purpose:

We serve low- to moderate-income households by providing:

- Homebuyer education
- Housing counseling
- Non-repayable closing cost assistance

What to expect

**Program Purpose**
The Homeownership Assistance Program aims to eliminate financial barriers to homeownership for low- to moderate-income individuals and families by providing education, guidance, and non-repayable closing cost assistance.

**Eligible Participants**
• Low- to moderate-income individuals and families as defined by program guidelines
• Applicants purchasing a primary residence
• Applicants demonstrating financial need for closing costs
• Participants committed to completing required homebuyer education
• Participants agreeing to collaborate with approved in-network partners
• Applicants meeting all documentation and program deadlines

**Priority Consideration**
Due to limited funding, priority consideration will be given in the following order:
• First-time homebuyers
• Other low- to moderate-income homebuyers
• Applicants with documented hardships or special circumstances


**Type of Assistance**
• Non-repayable closing cost assistance
• Funds will be disbursed directly to approved third parties at closing
• Assistance amounts will vary based on financial need and funding availability

**Program Limitations**  • Assistance is contingent on funding availability  
• Submission of an application does not guarantee financial assistance
• Funds may not be allocated for down payment assistance without specific authorization
• All program decisions are final

**Compliance & Accountability**
Participants must adhere to all program requirements to maintain eligibility. Failure to comply with program guidelines, deadlines, or documentation standards may result in disqualification from assistance.
